The Humanist Statement, otherwise known as the document of the Humanist Movement gives the ideological basis for many aspects of Humanist Party Policy.

 The UK Humanist Party adopted the Humanist Statement as one of its foundational documents upon its presentation in the Humanist Forum of Moscow in 1993.
